The Grand Canyon State Fencing Foundation (GCSFF) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. The mission of the Foundation is to increase awareness of fencing and to promote and develop the amateur sport in Arizona.

The mission is pursued in two distinct ways:

·        The Foundation is developing a program of
Wheelchair Fencing to bring this exciting sport to disabled athletes. Fencing is recognized to be a sport that not only exercises a multitude of muscles, is cardiovascular but also develops mental agility. It is therefore a sport that is highly beneficial to athletes confined to wheelchairs.

 ·        The Foundation has a program to assist youth fencers in Arizona through encouraging and seeding School Fencing Programs and by limited grants and
scholarships to qualified individuals* to be able to advance and develop their skills in the sport in order to build a strong community of fencing in the State. Through these initiatives it is anticipated that a critical mass of fencers, coaches and clubs will be developed to make the sport available to a wide section of the community.

Through special events and fundraising, GCSFF will fund its activities which we believe offer a significant contribution and benefit to the community. Any donations will be gratefully received and are tax deductible for the donor.

* A program of scholarships is on-going but currently due to lack of funds no further grants or scholarships can be entertained. We will announce here when applications will be accepted again in the future.
